A passionate and hard-working violinist who wishes to spread happiness and joy through the language of music.
Isabella Bengochea received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in violin performance from the University of Houston's Moores School of Music on May 2022 and May 2024 respectively.
Isabella is passionate about orchestral and chamber music as well as music education. She currently performs with the Bach Society Houston, is a freelance artist and maintains a private violin studio for a selected number of students.
Some of her Freelance experience include Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra, Second Baptist Church Orchestra, Christ Evangelical Presbyterian Church Orchestra, Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra and various other local orchestras as well as numerous private events.
Her private violin teachers included Mann-Wen Lo, Alan Austin (Baroque Violin), Ertan Torgul, Andrzej Grabiec and Johnny Chang. She has participated in masterclasses including violinists MuChen Hsieh, Glenn Dicterow, Yoonshin Song, Elizabeth Blumenstock, as well as Timothy Peters, Lin He and Kristof Barati, among others.
Ms. Bengochea plays on a 2018 violin modeled after the Joseph Guarnerius fecit, Cremona of 1733, handcrafted by American luthier Dorian B. Barnes.
